If you purchased this thinking you'd learn more about Ales and the Delirium books, you will be DISAPPOINTED!

There are only 38 pages and most of those are commercials for non related books by this author. I can't believe I actually paid for this!

So, this is the only book I didn't read in chronological order. I didn't know about this addition to the series until I'd already read most of it, so I saved it for last. Normally, I'm a firm believer in reading things in chronological order, but in this case I think it was better that I didn't. I liked not knowing what happened to Alex while in the middle of the series, but it was very nice to be able to go back and see what he was going through while Lena was on her own adventure after losing him. I definitely think that people who read the series will enjoy this insight. (

Alex is the last of the Delirium novellas, letting us get to know Alex through his own eyes instead of through Lena's. Most of it told of his time in the crypts and then his escape. It was interesting to see his character change during his time away, but it made me even less sure which guy I wanted to "win" in the end. I liked Alex in Delirium, but I didn't love him. I liked Julian, too, but I didn't love him either. Alex changed so much in this novella that he is almost a different person and even though I read this after Requiem, I am still not sure how I feel!

My Recommendation

Like most of the other novellas, this isn't entirely necessary to enjoy the main trilogy, but the depth it adds is a good addition. (
