Los amigos Mannering y Trent vuelven a estar de vacaciones y su madre, la señora Alison y Bill Smugs les llevan a una granja en plena montaña galesa. Los niños hacen una excursión en la que encuentran una misteriosa montaña en la cual suceden temblores de tierra, salidas nocturnas de perros hambrientos entra otras cosas. Descubren al causante de todos estos sucesos y con gran dificultad consiguen salir con buen pie.

It was very cool that this story followed closely behind the Sea Adventure one and details from the Sea Adventure were even mentioned in this story. I very much enjoyed that. I've gotten every one of her books available from the library... looking forward to reading them all :-)
