Very short and simple, but probably the clearest and overall best resource I've seen on the subject. Allberry is an evangelical pastor who experiences SSA and has chosen a life of celibacy. This book is for everyone, including Christians who are trying to relate with both believers and non-believers who are dealing with SSA, as well as those dealing with SSA who are trying to understand what the Bible teaches about homosexuality. The length and simplicity of the book make it accessible to anyone. ( )

I wish I had read Sam Allberry's book two decades ago. After reading this short work, I have realized how many mistakes I have made when engaging those affected by homosexuality or same-sex attraction (SSA). Allberry, who has struggled with SSA himself, lays out a sound biblical defense of sex as a God-given gift to be exercised exclusively between married men and women. He then demonstrates how Christians can stand on biblical principles in a world where that view is increasingly offensive to the tolerant postmodernists. But the best part of Is God anti-gay? is Allberry's advice on how to respond to those who struggle with sexual sin, believers who come out with struggles of same-sex attraction, and how to engage active homosexuals with the Gospel. This book should be a must-read for those serious about engaging the their neighbors with the Gospel! ( )
