In the magical sequel to The Secret Sisterhood of Heartbreakers by Lynn Weingarten, Lucy must break the sisterhood's curse before she loses her chance at true love. Since she joined the Secret Sisterhood of Heartbreakers, Lucy's life has been perfect. Girls want to be her. Boys want to date her. She has access to magic. And her broken heart has completely healed. Her only regret is that her best friend, Tristan, is still hurting from her rejection. As she searches for a way to heal Tristan's heart, she discovers the truth behind her initiation into the sisterhood--and that her sisters have unimaginable secrets they've been keeping from her. Trapped in a group she no longer trusts, Lucy realizes it just might be better to risk a broken heart than to never fall in love again. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |

But I connected with Lucy, and I felt that she had this desire to do the right thing, no matter the cost to herself, but that she really did not want to hurt others. Which made me wonder why she ever joined them because even the name shows that they have to break other's hearts, and that will cause others pain. But the perspective that she gained, and even her reasons for wanting the magic worked for me, so I wanted to keep going on the journey with her.
There was some betrayals that I didn't see coming in this one as well as an alliance that I wouldn't have suspected in order for Lucy to accomplish her goals and turn into the person that she really wants to be.
I also still enjoyed Tristan and Colllin in this one, but hated how they were getting jerked around.
I'll admit that I skimmed some in the middle because I was just having issues with the sisters and the whole thing with the rock star wasn't doing it for me, but I absolutely wanted to know what happened, and it picked up well enough for me.
The ending worked perfectly for me, and although I wish there would have been more fleshing out of the "after" I totally was okay with how it worked out and the ending that Lucy got.
Bottom Line: Good follow up with rocky middle. ( )
