This was a good book and a quick read. I would use it in the classroom as an example of breaking barriers and achieving your dreams even when faced with tough obstacles. Roberto was also a good example of giving back to the world, he was more than a baseball player, he was a humanitarian.

I really liked this book! I think that the author did a great job of getting the central message across which is that Roberto Clemente worked hard to get to where he is and is well-respected and honored to this day.One thing that I liked about this book was that in the beginning it included an introduction from the viewpoint of Roberto Clemente. I found it intriguing to read an introduction from a man who was not alive, and think that this introduction truly pulls readers into the story and gets them interested into Roberto Clemente's life (it's not a boring introduction). I also liked how throughout the book, important words were bolded to emphasize that they were an important part of Roberto Clemente's life. For example, the word, "injustice" is bolded to emphasize the fact that Roberto Clemente did not appreciate injustice and that it bothered him. Another thing that I liked about this book i that it highlighted many different aspects of Roberto Clemente's life and not just his baseball career, which is what he is most known for. For example, the book includes the fact that Roberto married a woman named Vera and that they had three sons together. ( )
