Sheen touches on a lot of aspects in this volume of his writings from love to youth to faith to adventure to contentment. Divided into sections under headers such as "Our Searchings", "How We Are Torn" & "The Way to Acceptance"... many quotable parts and written with such an eloquent and articulate hand. Strewn about with quotes from the Bible, from contemporary and classic writings that touch on issues just as relevant today as they were in the 70's. He reminds me a bit of Chesterton in the way he writes so to the heart of the matter and so compellingly at that. More people should read this book. Recommended for all Catholics if not all Christians. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
Sheen explores those areas of greatest concern to us -- love, anxiety, beauty, freedom, self-pity, sex, faith, and more. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
