Vain truly spoiled me and I think that Greed fell short from Vain..Only one star short but, just fell short of my high expectations.

Spencer likes one thing money. He lives his life based on lies and is quickly turning into the one person he does not want to be His Father. When his sister needs him more than anything he has to change his life, give most of it up, and move to a "ranch".

I loved Cricket and I loved Spencer. There were just a few things I did not understand. I won't give them away in the review because it would ruin the book.

The end was heart-wrenching I mean I sat and cried for a long while reading this.

I am so ready for the next book in the series I just wish it was Jonah and Bridget's book and not Ethan's. I don't like him and do not feel he left a huge impression on me.

Avaricia en su sentido más simplista. Una historia común, en la que sabemos lo que va a pasar antes de que pase y donde, inclusive, el gran "giro en la trama" es en realidad bastante predecible.

Son historias de pecados capitales, deberían ser un poco más interesantes y un poco menos "Nicholas Spark". ( )

My first read of 2014 and it did not disappoint. The second book in "The Seven Deadly" series proved to be just as good as the first. It brought many tears of sadness and joy for me. An absolute must-read! ( )

This book was not as magnificent as VAIN but both books have main characters who go through life-altering experiences. There really is a big contrast each time between the beginning and ending of the book and that’s what makes it so great. In Greed we meet Spencer who is hungry for money at the start. He works as a lackey for his father, who has no conscience whatsoever. And Spencer, he gets a high out of checking his bank account. But even though he does his dirty jobs, he does feel guilty. Then his sister Bridget confides in him and they end up fleeing their fathers influence to the Hunt ranch in Bitterroot, Montana, living in a small trailer and working on the farm to earn their keep. This is where Spencer meets Cricket Hunt. There is immediate attraction but he can’t have her because she’s with Ethan. His pursuit of her comes with consequences that he is not aware of. There is some mystery around Cricket and I could not figure it out, it left me a little speechless when all was revealed.

The book describes rather detailed life and work on the ranch (maybe a little too much at times perhaps), the warm and special bond between the people on the ranch, and we get to know the other side of Spencer. Although Spencer is confronted with Greed from time to time (in the form of a girl named Piper who appears in his dreams), we see that in his heart he really is a good guy. I also really liked the sweet side story of Bridget and Jonah.. I kind of wanted Bridget and Jonah to be together even more perhaps than Spencer and Cricket. I did not really know where this book would go and it was at 85% in that the author plays with our hearts not one but two times. I also like that there were no steamy sex scenes in this book, it really does not need it. This series really is an original concept and I’m already really curious to see what Ethan is up to in Fury. ( )
