Includes several recipes which are appropriate for 1956, but are very dated by today's sensibilities. A recipe for "Seafood Muchi" in a cream sauce with black olives and pimentos sounds dreadful, but the cioppino made with "small, fresh sea creatures from North Beach" would be delicious today.
