As always, Julia Cook takes on an issue with fun and some great ideas. But It's Just a Game tackles the issue of video game addiction in young children. Jasper spends every moment thinking about, if not playing his game. It takes over his life and everything else (homework, chores, play, family) get forgotten. Mum takes on the Game Controller and extracts Jasper from his game and gets him back into life, all the while setting some firm boundaries for Jasper. There are same great ideas and internet links for parents/teachers/psychologists about internet and gaming addiction at the back of the book also. Great Stuff. ( )
