The best part of this book, for me, was the CD with snippets of actual reports made during WWII. The book itself, while it didn't reveal anything that I hadn't read about Murrow before, did do a better job of revealing others of the "Murrow's Boys" and I have more books on my list. However, if you aren't familiar with Edward R. Murrow and his work during WWII and after, this is an excellent place to start. It's easy reading, has an extensive list of references for more reading, and, again, that CD just makes it better. ( ) Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
Tells the story of how Edward R. Murrow, chief European correspondent for the Columbia Broadcasting System, worked along with the band of reporters he recruited, to bring the news of World War II live to the American people, and includes excerpts from over fifty actual broadcasts on CD.
