John Kelly's book is well written and informative. He covers all the important topics including make-up, locations and props. He also includes information on equipment and on lighting, which is now rather outdated, now that digital is king. He nicely emphasizes the importance of the interaction between the model and the photographer, which is essential for effective glamour work.
My favourite photograph from those presented here is the small one on page 85, which features a model revealing her body outside a casino, without the knowledge of the large queue of people standing at the door. This is a subject which would make a great book in its own right. Worst photo? I'm not too keen on the voyeuristic upskirt shot of a girl basking in the sun, on page 51. ( )
