The book is beautifully illustrated,and among the photographs that attracted me are those of ' a striped tabby cat' by George Baxter, 'Cat Licking his Paw' by Katsukawa Shunsho, 'Cat and Mouse' from the Luttrell Psalter,and 'Muscipula' (Cat eying a Mouse caught in a Trap) by Sir Joshua Reynolds. (
