Etiquetes:like this book because it encourages young readers to share their ideas. Many kids think of something, but just assume it's not smart or worth being shared because they're little. They push it away, like the character in the book did. But, once they share their idea, they find that they are intelligent and capable of great things. This book's ideas promote confidence in children to be able to think they can do just as much as an adult can do. Too often, adults make children feel like they're inferior just because they have less life experience. This causes children to become shy and submissive, especially when they have an idea. But, after reading this book, children will be inspired to share their great ideas and have enthusiasm for them. I also liked the illustrations in the book, as it really solidified the idea of the plot. First, the "idea" starts off as a small egg-looking thing. As the child tries to push it away, the idea keeps returning bigger and bigger, demonstrating that you can never really let go of something you're passionate about. Eventually, when the child grows to accept the idea, it blossoms into a beautiful and colorful thing. Overall, I think the main message of this book is that no matter how small, anyone is capable of having a great idea. You just have to be confident enough to let other people see your genius.

I think it left out one essential step. But it was creative. ( )

A book about what you should do with an idea. Ideas are golden. At the beginning the child walks away from the idea because he is afraid of what people would think of his idea. He does like his idea, and feels good about it. The pictures are simple and in black and white, but the idea is golden, and grows bigger through out the book. The main character is scared about being rejected, and people did, and the book is about not giving up.

Kobi Yamada's What Do You Do with an Idea is a book that storylines the development of an idea that is given its proper nurturing and attention. No matter how people feel about YOUR idea, do not let others' views and opinions govern the outcome of your relationship with YOUR idea. Does that make any sense? I surely hope so. What is birthed from an idea, probably one that others thought of as stupid. This book makes you kind of brainstorm of all the innovative thinkers, inventors, these people who did the impossible with just an idea to start with, cultivated in the will to succeed. Where is your IDEA? Have you abandoned it? Is it still with you? Where? Tucked away in the corners of your mind or is it riding shotgun right along side of you? Are you on autopilot, being driven by someone else's idea of who you are supposed to be and what are supposed to be doing, or are you and your b/f/f idea taking the world by storm? Only you can answer that. Only you KNOW the answer to that. Just a thought, oh...I mean...idea. ( )
