This book is a great read for students in the third grade level. It teaches students that they should always be thankful for things that they have. Even though their friends may have greater things than them, they should be thankful for everything that they have received. ( )

the bear children go over their friends houses and always come back complaining that their friends have more toys than them. one day there is a giant storm and papa bear and mama bear spend the storm explaining to the little bears that they should be happy with what they have.

I thought this book was adorable and great for young children. The main message that mama bear tries to teach her little bears is that love and a good home are more important than material items. This is a very important concept for young children to understand. The book was well written, detailed and descriptive. For example, sister goes into detail of how many bearbie dolls Lizzie has and exactly what kinds so the reader can tell how many she truly has. The same goes for brother who goes into detail about how many video games his cousin Freddie has. The characters were very cute and made the reader want to keep reading. The illustrations were in bright color and made the reader want to keep looking at the pictures. Over all this book was great! ( )
