Une description de faits avec une mise en forme contemporaine pour les enfants où ceux qui veulent parler de l'oeuvre dans les diners pas trop mondains. Bref, ce n'est plus l'oeuvre de Homère et il faut chercher alors une autre traduction. ( )

One of the most memorable reading experiences of my early childhood, this gloriously illustrated book brought about a lifelong fascination with Ancient Greece. Our father loved to read it to us and relished the vivid language such as "the wine-dark sea" "his soul went down to Hades, bewailing its lost youth" - presumably reflecting Homer's own. It was the first time I realised that enjoyable reading is about the use of language as well as just the story. ( )
