In this book, the Dragonets of Destiny start a school in the Jade Mountain. Moonwatcher, the main character, is a student and she has special abilities to read minds and see prophecies. Most nightwings do not possess these powers. The school is kind of like a Hogwarts for dragons. While Moon is trying to sleep she hears a voice in another dorm that is talking about killing another dragonet. She also starts hearing a voice in her head talking to her telepathically. While she's studying she has a vision of the history room exploding with all of her friends in it. She stops everyone from going in the room, it explodes, everyone wonders how she knew that was going to happen. She explains her power to her friends. Winter takes off after his sister because she is attempting to murder the Dragonets of Destiney. His friends follow, they seek help from Queen Glory of the Rainwings & Nightwings. She helps them, they stop Icicle and heal her. This book brought on new twists and turns about each characters. The new characters brought in new challenges within the Wings of Fire world. I really enjoyed reading this book. My favorited character was Qibli. He is a very intelligent Sandwing dragon. He is analytical, almost like a Sherlock Holmes. He can figure out more about a dragon by looking at them than talking to them. I would highly recommend this book to my fellow classmates!! Moonwatcher is the first Nightwing in generations to be born with the lost Nightwing powers of mindreading and prophecy. She has been told her entire life to keep her powers a secret from the world. When Moon attends Jade Mountain Academy, her mind is overwhelmed with the thoughts of all the students and teachers at the academy. However, there is a murderer at school, and students are dying. Can Moon use her powers to solve the mystery and catch the murderer even if it means that others will find out her secret? I really like the twist in the storyline. New heroes are born to battle some of the old villains. The characters are very well written; so much so that I forget they are dragons and not humans. I like that Moon is not so easily persuaded and has a fairly good moral compass. Good job! Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

Moon is a bit too perfect (all the boys are fascinated with her), but I still enjoyed her as a character. To my surprise, I really liked Kinkajou as well - I'd expected the ditzy routine to annoy the hell out of me. There's still the crazy violence - there's a literal murderder and terrorist at the school - but it wasn't as graphic as the previous books.
Lastly, I was surprised to see that Sutherland included an LGBT dragon,
