The three goat brothers brave the terrible troll in a colorful version of the classic tale.

In my opinion, this is a good retelling of a classic folklore. The words were simplified for young children to understand. For example, instead of saying an "average" sized goat, the author used "middle-sized." This would help children visualize the different sizes between the three goats. I also liked the illustrations that went with the story. They were simple, but detailed as well. For example, on one page, the sandy hills are plainly drawn with a little bit of shading. However, the bridge on the page has details on the stones. ( )
