This book had a few mysteries going on simultaneously, where the characters brush up against each other but don't quite go where I thought they would. It was very nicely written and all of the characters were complex and flawed, my favorite type.
It was a terrifying situation set in a timeframe that I could completely relate to: the 1980's. Innocence meets unexplained destruction and how your life is changed. Also, how your life can sometimes get stuck and you can't move on without some resolution.
Thoroughly enjoyable and disturbing book. Maybe I had just finished "Gone Girl..." or one of her other books... (
