![]() Cap No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. First Edition 1989 This one-volume abridgement of the massive eighty-volume (at last count) Greek-English Lexicon by Liddell and Scott is simply a must for any serious student of ancient Greek. It covers everything from Homeric Greek, through classical Attic, and on to Koine (the Greek of the New Testament). An amazing accomplishment, comparable in scope to the OED, this book represents the combined work of many, many fine scholars. I have used this since the first year I studied Greek, and am thrilled to finally have my own copy! Edition: // Descr: 910 p. 22.5 cm. // Series: Call No. { } Words are in Greek and Definitions are in English. // // Sufficient depth for all but the most demanding reader. Unless you reading Greek is all you, i.e. you are a classicist, not an historian, this is most likely more than enough for your purposes. The pages can be a bit hard to decipher depending on the printing you have, as the new editions are simply photocopies. Liddell was the father of Alice Liddell, the Alice of "Alice in Wonderland." The definitive ancient Greek-English dictionary, and it never goes out of date. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
