Continuing her magical adventures, Fern travels with Howard to an underground city to save the Anybodies from the horrible Blue Queen who sucks the souls out of books. This book is an adventure fantasy novel that is witty and cute and all about books! This fantasy novel with creatures from famous books and magical rulers is made with funny commentary from the author and illustrations in pencil and ink. I would use this book for grades 4-8 although I even enjoyed this series as a college student. Some ways that I would use this in the classroom for a book discussion about the authors uses of other books as well as his humor. I would have them rewrite the story with Fern and Howard not being Anybodies. I enjoyed reading this book for what it is, an entertaining novel with lots of adventure and humor that is a good quick read that I could not put down. ( )

In this third and last thrilling adventure in the "Anybodies" trilogy, everything around Fern seems to be shifting and changing. Fern must find a way to stay true to who she is, while facing her most powerful enemy yet.
