Her Wild Hero was a very good story about bear shifter, Declan, and mission trainer, Kendra. I liked how Kendra realized that her infatuation with another DCO agent wasn't like the true love she finds with Declan. I also liked the continuing mystery surrounding the hybrids and why they continue to find more and more different types. I'm already anxious for the next installment of this series. Even though each book is about a specific couple I think this series has one of the best ensemble casts I’ve read in a long time. The Costa Rican jungle is where the latest fight with the hybrids takes place. Each of these books is like an adrenaline ride from start to finish. There is a large cast of characters in every book and each and every one of them blends seamlessly into the story. They all work together like a well oiled machine and I couldn’t imagine the series working as well without each one of them. Each of the couples so far have been a human to shifter match. But each of the shifters are totally different in both type and sex. This time we have bear shifter Declan MacBride and Kendra Carlsen who does the evaluations for the team. Poor Declan had finally given up on anything every happening between him and Kendra in the previous books but when they are thrown together on a mission that goes south Kendra finally sees the big teddy bear for what he really is – her soul mate. After I finish each book in this series I want to just immediately go to the next one. I love this series and cant wait for the next installment. Being in love with the heroine for 6 years but having every attempt on his part to get close to her turned down, the hero cut his losses and vowed to distance himself from her. But when she's sent on a routine mission with him into the jungle and they are attacked by hybrids the hero is forced to deal with knowing that he could never stop himself from loving her. The heroine cursed herself a fool realizing that all these years she's ignored the one man whom she could have the one of a kind love with. Now, just as she's finally realized the error of her ways, he's become distant. He's never rude or cold towards her-it's not in his nature to be that way-but he doesn't look at her the same way and inside it pains her. But days spent in the jungle on the run from hybrids that seek to kill them or worse has drawn them together. The heroine begins to redeem herself. She's capable in the jungle, can hold her own and it's something that the hero greatly admires. She's also flirtatious-in a subtle way- and all those nights spent huddled together for warm are taking their toll. I think this way a great book and I liked it much more than the first book in the series. It had a thin layer of tension running through the story with both the constant pressing action but also with the attraction between the two characters. I loved the fact that the heroine could finally realize just how blind she is and strive to regain the hero's affections bot knowing that he's loved her this whole time. The hero was amazing. He truly was just a large teddy bear-but not someone you want against you. He's been hurt in the past and as a result he barely uses his shifter abilities. He's kind hearted to a fault, capable and selfless. He also loved the heroine to death and the scene when she confesses her feelings to him-the happiness he felt-was so deserving. Also to read about him gully embracing his shifter side to save the heroine was great. This was a great book. A stellar paranormal romantic suspense. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

That said, I did enjoy this. I liked Declan and Kendra and I liked them together. It surprised me - I didn't think I would because of the past rejections. There wasn't anything particularly special about the narrative but it was just fun and it had a few swoonworthy moments and I found it easier to get through the pages. I struggled with the last book. Also was it really necessary to have Derek hung up on Kendra? It was just so utterly ridiculous.
Issues with plot: The bad guy - it's pretty obvious who the bad guy is in this series.
I really like Angelo and Tanner. I just don't think I can bring myself to read the rest of the series to find out what happens with them. Plus the epilogues in the last two books spruking Minka just doesn't grab me - even if I do like Angelo. As for Tanner - there's another four books with a bunch of characters I just don't care enough about.
