This book is for primary age students. This is a silly story about a cat that knows he likes to chase... but doesn't know WHAT a mouse looks like. Will he end up chasing the wrong thing? This is a simple narrative that would be a silly story to entertain 3-5 year old children. (Home, not classroom.)

Max the cat is fearless and chases after a mouse. But he isn't sure what a mouse is so he sets out to find one. Along the way he meets a fly, a fish, birds, and an elephant. Max finally meets a mouse and he thinks it's not all that it's cracked up to be. (

Cute book. I have to agree it's a little bit of "Are you my mother?" Max is a cat that is tired of being thought of as cute. He wants to bravely stalk and chase a mouse, but he has no idea what a mouse looks like. We follow Max on his quest to find and catch a mouse. I really loved Max's expressions. Cute illustrations and a book pre-schoolers would love to learn simple words from. They will surely ask to be read this one over again.
