At a time when so many people are spiritually disillusioned and searching for ways to live, love, work, and play that nurture the soul rather than destroy it, Matthew Kelly once again delivers a powerful book that encourages us in our weariness, challenges us in our comfort, and invites us to rediscover the beautiful possibilities God places before us daily. This is one among several of the books I'd like to read on 'Jesus". It's an easy read and a good reflection in time for Lent as it has 40 short chapters with reflection points to ponder at the end of each chapter. It's an invitation to encounter Jesus deeply. A book to pass on. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
The best time to rediscover Jesus is right now. You are holding this book in your hand at this very moment for a reason. I don't know what God has in store for you. But I am excited for you. There are some questions that we all ask ourselves in different ways: Who am I? Who is God? What am I here for? What matters most? What matters least? What are my unique talents and abilities? What will my contribution be? We discover the answers to these questions most completely by encountering Jesus. He longs to help us discover deeply personal answers to our deeply personal questions-- No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |

There are 40 essays/entries so it should have taken me a little over a month, but I missed a few days here and there so it took me about 2 months to finish.
I wouldn't say there was anything profoundly new to me in the book, but sometimes I find it is good to go back to the basics and review them. Sometimes my thinking gets so caught up in the current issues or more complex issues that I don't focus on the basics of Christianity. (
