Of course, South Australian football stats from distant days past is not a big seller and Gyss has self-published this (as with all his reports in this series) through Lulu, and while I have no problem with self-publishing, there were a few times when I wished a professional could have laid out the book. While the book runs to 88 pages it could have been squeezed into half the pages without diminishing the look and feel.
Layout aside, this is a great resource for South Australian football historians, full of wonderful nuggets of useless information like "Arthur Lance and 'Bo' Morton met in Jisi a small town north of Florence in Italy" in 1944. ( )
