ADORED THIS STORY. The three main characters are each searching for their place in the world. Dane is trying to outrun his painful childhood by working like a dog even through he runs a successful empire. Pam is looking for financial security. Five year old Dani is looking for love and security. That they are thrown together by an unexpected surprise is the irony of it all. That they may find what they seek together is the blessing. This was a cutie pie of a story. Loved little Dani and her Daddy tantrums. Of course Daddy's own tantrums made me want to smack him upside the hear but we had Pamela to do that in some sense or the other. The story is also lovely with the characters getting a chance to do it right with their families.

The cover is great on it's own but not sure if it goes with the theme of the book. That guy should have had a little girl in his arms.

Loved! This! Book! One of my favorites this year. Dane Bergman is a highly successful and very busy. Just the way he likes his life. When he suddenly finds himself sole guardian and father to a four year old daughter he never knew he had he's definitely in over his head. Thank goodness for his personal assistant, Pamela Atwater. When he tries to push all responsibility for his daughter on to her shoulders, she demands he take a month long vacation to get to know his daughter and learn to care for her himself. If not, Pamela walks! He agrees with one stipulation. Pamela must come with. Not good. So not good. How will she resist him for a month???

This one is very well written and the relationships that are built are heartwarming. I really loved these characters and think others will too. I definitely recommend this one for everyone's must read list! ( )

Let's face it, the book has a cheesy title and the same old same old story tropes- another 'sexy millionaire' story, another 'secret baby' story, another 'secretary falls in love with her boss' story.
So, eventhough I was quite looking forward to this guilty pleasure escapist read, I didn't have overly high expectations.

How surprised was I when I couldn't put the book down?!

It is well written and fast paced, but,at the same time, the romance between Pamela and Dane didn't feel rushed. Their relationships developed in a romantically sedate pace thanks to the presence of Danielle. The interplay and bonding between Pamela, Dane and Dani was touching and sweet.

I enjoyed this title immensely. It is a quick, easy read and perfect for a lazy duvet day or a sunny day at the beach. ( )
