The second book I read of Brenda Joyce's works and still the experience of reading her stories are just realistic. The characters really gets to experience the horrors of history and how people lived. Thus drawing the reader's sympathies and gets them to react (in my case squealing like crazy one moment and at the edge of my seat the next). I find myself unable to let go of the book and just press on. The next thing I remembered I was lying on my bed, waking up. I had dreamed of still continuing on reading the book. I mean, I was dreaming of still reading the book like I am awake--and I gotta say, though my mind is creative, still it's a first for me! Never had I ever dreamed of reading in my dreams.
