We live in a post-corporate world where the need for a modern liberal arts education has never been greater. Under attack for centuries, liberal arts institutions continually fend off assaults on their industrial relevance, academic purity, or socioeconomic accessibility. All of these attacks demonstrate a blatant misunderstanding of the unique value provided by a liberal arts education.There are countless articles and opinion pieces on how to save liberal arts education, yet most cannot see past our current institutional challenges. This manifesto takes a first principles approach to exploring the fundamental value of a liberal arts education and offers recommendations on how to reintroduce those values in our modern world.
