This is a cute and funny book. The illustrations are much different than Isadora's other books but are very sweet. In this story, Bea dreams her Nutcracker comes alive. It's interesting how many ballet stories the other can write. They are all good though. ( )

Bea in The Nutcracker is a cute story about a little girl, Bea, who gets to perform as Clara in her dance schools Nutcracker. The book explains the story of The Nutcracker and how excited Bea and her friends are for their ballet performance. This is a great story for young children who have an interest in dance and ballet. It gives children the opportunity to learn about The Nutcracker at a young age. ( )

Bea is preforming in the ballet called the Nutcracker. She has been casted a lead role, Clara. The book is based off the original ballet of the Nutcracker, just simplified. Although the illustrations were simple, I loved the page where Rachel drew every outfit that the dancers would be wearing. I enjoyed seeing the costumes without the character in them, allowing me to see the roles they were trying to fill. This would be a good read for young children, especially ones who are or want to be dancers. ( )
