"Starting with a dramatic scene that pits Helen Meeker against a cranky and very hungry alligator, Bottled Madness takes readers on a dangerous but thrilling ride through the next episode of  "In the President's Service." From explores to politicians to people of all races and cultures, the legend of the Fountain of Youth has called to anxious hearts through the ages. World War II was no exception, and one of the cruelest men of that era or any other, Adolf Hitler, was willing to pay exorbitant amounts to get his hands on the supposedly magical elixir. With lives hanging in the balance, Helen Meeker and her team, believed by many to be dead but who are in fact very much alive-- at least for the time being-- must race against time to protect themselves and others against the curse that accompanies the Fountain of Youth legend." - back cover.… (més)

Get ready for another great adventure in this seventh installment of "In The President's Service." I really enjoyed the story and found myself totally engrossed in the setting, characters and mystery. The author does a great job of telling a story that grabs your attention right from the start.

I loved the story about Allison and the elderly man in the cab. His story was so mesmerizing and intense that I couldn't stop reading. What a fascinating take that took readers aboard an abandoned ship at sea. Where did the crew go? What happened to the captain? What letter was found on that ship ? The mystery is surrounded by a bottle filled with water. Now the question is, why has that bottle gotten the attention of Hitler?

The reason I loved the story so much is because it has mysteries that weaved together throughout the story to keep me glued to the book. I love the way the author peaks the interest of readers by his brilliant storytelling. I am excited to read the next installment in this intriguing story. Thank you for writing with great details, having interesting characters and a storyline that takes us back in history.

I received a digital copy of this book from The BookClub Network for an honest review. ( )

And the subterfuge continues...

"Those boxes hold things you hang onto but don't like. You don't unpack them because if you did, you'd have to admit what you are and face the things you've done. Those boxes hold your nightmares, and the only way you sleep is by keeping the lids on them." So says Dr. Bauer's latest project to the double agent. I have to think, if we are not careful to seek forgiveness from God, those words can be true for anybody. I read with fascination to see what would happen to this latest project, a living woman.

Loved the discovery of how the New Orleans crime family dealt with enemies and convinced the whole city of voodoo ability. You'll have to read this episode to see how this ties into the war, though.

Helen spends a lot of this episode soaking in the reality of the war. At first I was disappointed, but then I realized, what could I expect? War IS ugly.
Loved Becca Bobbs' foray into playing a professional! Again, although there is an explosive ending, the episode halts before all the loose pieces are swept up. Fortunately, episode #8 is already available on Amazon and it's now on my Kindle.

I gratefully received this episode from bookfun.org in exchange for an honest review. ( )

This book is well written. You don't really get to know the depth of the characters in just one installment, but you know them well enough. The story flows well. But, even though I knew it was seventh in a series, I did not realize it really wasn't a stand alone book. It kept my interest throughout and I was able to put together what was going on, but it did not really tie anything up at the end. Yes, I like this book, but you'll need to read the whole series. One other comment, I received this book from Bookfun.org in exchange for my honest review. Since this is a Christian site, I expected this to be a Christian book. It did not fit that category in my opinion. There was nothing wrong with it, no sexual scenes, no foul language, but also, no mention of God whatsoever. ( )
