This book dealt less with Rand, more about Mat, Nynaeve, Egwene, and Elayne. Enjoyed the series. I've really enjoyed all the Wheel of Time books I've read so far. Last time I attempted the series, I had a bad habit of skimming instead of reading, and I stopped midway through the fourth book, but I can't for the life of me figure out why. I love the fantasy world Jordan has created, and even if there are some smaller details that annoy men (looking at you and your braid, Nynaeve), the overall plot is engaging enough to keep me reading. Looking forward to starting (and finally finishing) book four. The Dragon Reborn is the third book in The Wheel of Time series. Don't start with this book; instead, start with The Eye of the World. So, you just finished The Great Hunt and want to know if you should read the next book. After all, Rand is the Dragon Reborn, and who doesn't want to know more about him. While Rand and his actions are the driving force behind the book, he doesn't appear frequently in this book. Perrin, Mat, Egwene, and Nynaeve are more in the spotlight. The young women are finally developing distinct personalities. That bodes well for the rest of the series. Did I enjoy the book? Yes. And I will keep reading the series. So, this book is highly recommended for fans of the series. Lots of action. Not too much time which the characters that annoy me more. I enjoyed it. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

The Dragon Reborn -- the leader long prophesied who will save the world, but in the saving destroy it; the savior who will run mad and kill all those dearest to him -- is on the run from his destiny. Able to touch the One Power, but unable to control it, and with no one to teach him how -- for no man has done it in three thousand years -- Rand al'Thor knows only that he must face the Dark One. But how? Winter has stopped the war -- almost -- yet men are dying, calling out for the Dragon. But where is he? Perrin Aybara is in pursuit with Moiraine Sedai, her Warder Lan, and Loial the Ogier. Bedeviled by dreams, Perrin is grappling with another deadly problem -- how is he to escape the loss of his own humanity? Egwene, Elayne and Nynaeve are approaching Tar Valon, where Mat will be Healed -- if he lives until they arrive. But who will tell the Amyrlin their news -- that the Black Ajah, long thought only a hideous rumor, is all too real? They cannot know that in Tar Valon far worse awaits. Ahead, for all of them, in the Heart of the Stone, lies the next great test of the Dragon Reborn. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
