Ham-fisted plotting and dialogue; definitely not Peter David's best work. The first of the three stories, "Weblog," shows originality and flirts with an effective juxtaposition of humor and drama, but the forced ending and a sanctimonious diatribe ruin the piece's momentum. The second story involves a mystical luchador with broken English, a unexplained villain, and a poorly-handled magic versus technology finale. The third story involving Spider-Man and Hobgoblin from the year 2211 may be the worst, suffering from awful dialog, predictable outcomes, retcons, and hackneyed daddy issues. Furthermore, there's little in the art to salvage this collection. ( )
