This book is a play on the original Little Red Riding Hood but with Chinese culture. The grandma leaves and instructs her granddaughters not to open the door for anyone. A wolf comes and pretends to be their grandma, but is soon killed by the three girls.

Interesting panels provide striking, vibrant illustrations that add suspense and urgency to this dramatic Chinese version of the traditional tale of Little Red Riding Hood. When a mother leaves her three children at home, to visit their grandmother, she instructs them to be sure to latch the door. It isn't long before the wolf arrives and tricks the children into believing that he is their Po Po, grandmother. The children must think quickly in order to escape the masquerading wolf. School Library Journal says, "A gripping variation of Red Riding Hood. This is an outstanding achievement that will be poured over again and again."

More childrens book in my library is necessary aside from Latinx culture. I loved reading this take on little red riding.
