3.5 Stars. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

We finally get to Drea and Michael's story after receiving tantalizing glimpses of it through earlier books in the series. Those small glimpses were so compelling that they really overshadowed the rest of the short stories, and I was hurrying through them to get to this last book. We already knew Drea had to have some kind of horrific trauma in her past, and we finally learn what it is. It's tragic and my heart went out to her. Michael, the dom, believes he can help Drea heal. I liked Michael - he was extremely caring toward Drea and pushed her to get better without being overwhelming. But for some reason, the relationship didn't work as well for me as I thought it would. Maybe because I didn't think it would work based on Drea's past. But that happens with short books... there just isn't room for a ton of plot development. But this was best book of the series. We met the villian of Drea's life and there was some suspense and steamy sex. A nice little quick read to kill the time. ( )
