Wonderful book written in poems about different food groups and their biology. Also included with each poem is a paragraph explaining the food groups, why there are the way there are and the differences between them. Lin's book is a fun way for children to learn about the science behind the foods that we eat, why foods are the color they are, and why some are healthier than others. I loved this book! ( ) This is a good book for children to read. It would show them how, why and what foods are good to eat so they can acquire the energy that is needed to perform daily. This book give examples of foods and why one should eat them. It had great colorful pictures to illustrate the reading. These pictures and demonstration would capture any child.
