What a lovely story about the friendship of a dog. All dog lovers can relate to the unconditional love George shows. George is a lucky dog to have found a home where he can be himself and lucky Colin who has George. Thank you for your story. ( )

I'm a sucker for a good dog story, and this is one of the best. When the author is faced with an inexplicable disruption in his life, he becomes severely depressed and counseling doesn't seem to help all that much. A friend suggests adopting a dog, and though initially resistant to the idea, he takes a look at a dog rescue site on the internet and is immediately drawn to the picture of one dog in particular. Thus begins an adventure for both himself and one very large Newfoundland dog. Told with honesty and humour, the stories of both the man and the dog are very touching and evoke smiles, laughs and a few tears. The book includes a couple of sets of colour photographs which enhance the story greatly. Highly recommended! ( )
