The title doesn't reflect the density of the topic (thus the more-explanatory subtitle). Couching Zak's story as a tourism tour doesn't quite fit either. Yet the story is developmentally appropriate for sharing with young children and covers topics such as sperm, egg, sperm bank and seeking "help" from friends in straightforward and child-positive tones. The lesbian couple is diverse. Zak portrays his family as loving and active and traditional as any other family. The author's note provides discussion guidance for parents. ( )
