Who can resist a book about a handsome hunk of a bodyguard watching a beautiful woman in danger from important and dangerous men. Leese isn't just Cat's bodyguard - circumstances force them to hide out together and they can't resist the attraction. The only thing I didn't like about this book was the hero's name - who is named Leese? Otherwise, I hope to check out more books in this series. 3.5 stars (rating shown may differ if site does not allow half star ratings) I have read at least one other book from this series, but not the MMA series that this stemmed from. I like Leese as a character and I like Catalina as a character. I don't like all their actions but . . . I liked that Foster avoided the "she's a client and I shouldn't be attracted to her" plot point common to this type of story and instead just faced the attraction head on and even had Leese admit it outright to his boss. I didn't like the intimate scenes, but to be fair, when I picked this book from the Y bookshelf, I knew they would be part of the story--I wanted to know Leese's backstory since he figured in Justice's book and that was all I knew of him. I wasn't crazy about the short story included in this book. I didn't know who the main characters were or how they related to any of Foster's "universes". I also don't think her formula works well for short stories. It was hard to get the drama in along with the lust. I did like that both tried to include the boy in their lives and even put him before their attraction for each other. Under Pressure can embed itself so deeply under the skin, that the reader becomes a part of the action. There were moments where Catalina and Leese stole my breath. The maze of twists and turns were endless but beyond all the adrenaline was an intriguing story worth sinking my teeth into. Hard to let go in the end. Any review I've given Foster could probably be cut and pasted here. It started off very promising with a whiff of HelenKay Dimon hero and situation but the attraction started immediately and the story just kind of ho-hummed from there. I liked it but my god have I read this story over and over before. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

Leese Phelps's road hasn't been an easy one, but it's brought him to the perfect job--working for the elite Body Armor security agency. And what his newest assignment lacks in size, she makes up for in fire and backbone. But being drawn to Catalina Nicholson is a dangerous complication, especially since it could be the very man who hired Leese who's threatening her. What Catalina knows could get her killed. But who'd believe the sordid truth about her powerful stepfather? Beyond Leese's ripped body and brooding gaze is a man of impeccable honor. He's the last person she expects to trust--and the first who's ever made her feel safe. And he's the only one who can help her expose a deadly secret, if they can just stay alive long enough... I felt certain I'd read Lori Foster before which is why I reached for another, but I haven't reviewed anything. So I set out to scan her books - 261!!! - too many to find one that rings a bell... ( )
