I loved how the book moved out of the lib. setting earlier then I expected. I really did love both the main characters and their slow burn romance was very easy to fall in love with. I also loved how the author included the topic of anxiety in the story. I felt to me as somebody that can be prone to anxiety a decent representation. I also really thought the story depicted high school in a "normal" way and I was impressed by that. The book was a very quick read and dealt with self-discovery for many of the characters but especially the two leads. This book was a lovely surprise. I just couldn't let go of the feelings of disbelief I had about them being trapped in the library. I'm usually pretty good with letting go but this one was just too nonsensical for me. I also think the main character... whose name escapes me... was a bit young in terms of her thinking and mannerisms given her age. She read like a 12 year old not a 16 year old. I did appreciate the anxiety rep though and thought that was done well. Just okay for me. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

HTML: An irresistible story from Kasie West that explores the timeless question What do you do when you fall for the person you least expect? When Autumn Collins finds herself accidentally locked in the library for an entire weekend, she doesn't think things could get any worse. But that's before she realizes that Dax Miller is locked in with her. Autumn doesn't know much about Dax except that he's trouble. Between the rumors about the fight he was in (and that brief stint in juvie that followed it) and his reputation as a loner, he's not exactly the ideal person to be stuck with. Still, she just keeps reminding herself that it is only a matter of time before Jeff, her almost-boyfriend, realizes he left her in the library and comes to rescue her. Only he doesn't come. No one does. Instead it becomes clear that Autumn is going to have to spend the next couple of days living off vending-machine food and making conversation with a boy who clearly wants nothing to do with her. Except there is more to Dax than meets the eye. As he and Autumn at first grudgingly, and then not so grudgingly, open up to each other, Autumn is struck by their surprising connection. But can their feelings for each other survive once the weekend is over and Autumn's old life, and old love interest, threaten to pull her from Dax's side? .No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |

A fair-to-middling YA romance. I found the MC to be juuuust this side of too annoying, but the main love interest (yes, there’s a triangle, which is slightly ugh, but fine) is an interesting character. There’s also a very predictable and solidly frustrating third act split, but it doesn’t last too long, and the ending is sweet. Honestly, the worst part is that you really have to stretch your tolerance for the unbelievable to swallow all the circumstances needed for them to be trapped in a public library all weekend, and I was irritated that it was merely a setting to get the Unlikely Couple in the same space for long enough instead of being a featured part of the atmosphere. I mean, hello, you’re IN A LIBRARY. And you have it ALL TO YOURSELF. That’s the romance, right there. ( )
