One of my most cherished possessions growing up, I won this massive tome after pestering my father for ages, until finally he, smart man that he was, offered it as an inducement for my improving my grades, which, wonder of wonders, I achieved. I was rewarded with one of the most amazing books I have ever read, a (then) hugely expensive ($40+) volume which was the envy of my friends. I took it everywhere, to school, to church, to football training(!). I even used it as a weapon - bringing it down on the head of a bully. As it weighs conservatively 4 or 5 pounds, it well & truly laid him out. However, its much more valuable as a resource than a means of justice. Beautifully illustrated, massively comprehensive, the font on all wisdom on every fish found Off the Queensland coast. Sadly, I dont get in much fishing these days, but this book will live on in my memories forever. A treasure. ( )
