Full on sobbing this book was such a rollercoaster I loved it sooo much onto the next one ( ![]() I did not enjoy this as much as I thought that I would, but it was still good. I had a few issues with this novel. Some spoilers. 1. It took me a week and a half to read the first half of this novel, while the last 300 or so pages took only 2 days. This is the 5th novel I have read by this author and there is a pattern. The beginnings of her books bore me. They have little action and become tedious. But afterward become so much better and interesting for me. The first half of this novel was basically a history lesson mixed with relationship drama and complications. I just wasn't as into it as I had hoped. 2. I hate when authors try to pair up all of the main characters with friends. Like that is so unrealistic. The sibling dates the sister's husband's friend, just no. It seemed like that was where this was going and then out of nowhere a character comes out. Like what? That felt so forced, I did not pick up on a single hint before that that would be happening. It did not feel natural at all. That was annoying. 3. The main problem for me was that in a battle of such huge proportions, not a single main character actually dies. They all come very close at one point (or even do die) and then come back and are all okay. That is unrealistic. As much as I wanted them to live and be happy together, this novel would have impacted me more if at least one main character was killed. Finally, to me, this story is over. It ended well and without any conflicts to encourage me to continue. As much as I love this world, and I do, it feels over. I am not quite understanding why there will be more books in this series. And yes, these 3 books will be spin-off novels, but I am just not convinced that they are needed. I am hoping Sarah J. Maas has something amazing in store for us. Overall this was a satisfying novel and I enjoyed my time inside of this world. I love this book. I love this series. I simply don’t have words to elaborate on how much these characters now mean to me. also this book made me cry way more than I thought I would?? A Court of Wings and Ruin is the excellent continuation of the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. War, friendships, alliances, magic, and romance. Lots more content that seemed more Adult that YA. It felt to me that this novel was the conclusion to the series, as a trilogy, but, no, there's more! Two more books (for now) follow this one, giving one time to catch up with the courts of this fantasy world. My consumption of chocolate biscuits continues :) I know it's not high literature but it's very enjoyable. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
