Ms. Barrett does well at tickling the funny bone. She delivers feel good romance that relies on the reader's ability to exercise both the brain and the heart in order to understand the true meaning of self reliance and the power of finding a place to belong. Anywhere You Are there proves that in order to understand where you are meant to be, a person has to search within themselves to discover who they are. (

Anywhere you are is part of a series but I feel it can be read as a stand alone. This was the first one I read & I was not lost in the characters or plot. Grace is a zany offbeat conservationist artist with a zest for life. Her family lives a very social public reality show life. Her mom is a former model & her dad is a rock star. This all creates an intense demanding life where nothing is private. After two years of reality show life, Grace is tired of everyone using her & not caring about her feelings that she pulls back & goes to live a solitary secluded life in a small town. Will Grace stay out of the limelight? Will she be able to develop a career as an artist without trading on her game?

Marc comes across as a cold rigid business only type. His father is a doctor & has become a playboy sleeping with girls younger than half his age after divorcing Marc's mom. He likes his life private & not played out in the press where it may affect his deals. Marc's favorite person is his aunt & he is devastated at the news of her death. After hearing his inheritance, he's totally bemused. What's he supposed to do with a dog? And not just any dog but Mr. Pipplepotts aka Big Blue. Can Marc handle the chaos that erupts around this horse of a dog? What will he do with him while he travels for work?

This is my first book by Elisabeth Barrett & it won't be the last. She drew me in from the first with her descriptive narrative of the chaos of the first meeting between Grace & Marc. The plot was fast paced & had dome twists that I didn't see coming. The chemistry was hot & intense & the love scenes were tastefully done. The main characters were very complex & dynamic with Big Blue stealing the show. Excellent book that I recommend to everyone.
