The introduction is masterfully done and really grabs the audiences attention, leaving them wanting more. The text is very well written and simplified as to not scare young readers away. The Beowulf epic has always amazed me, simply because it has been around for so long and is still being appreciated today. I wanted to find a version to share with my children and with this book I have accomplished that goal. This book would be a wonderful tool for teaching about ancient text and the epic/legend genre. It is 92 pages long, but a lot of that is filled with illustration. I think it would be good for a junior-high level class. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

I recommend this for older kids as well. I think this is a more kid friendly version. I also think boys will be more interested then girls but I did personally like it. I would love to read this around Halloween.
I would allow kids to make their own version of Beowulf and what they think he looks like from the ugly descriptions they give. I would also make us monster punch. I would let them write their own monster stories.
