Apunta't a LibraryThing per saber si aquest llibre et pot agradar. No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. Warren Ellis is only doing short runs in Marvel titles, in order to clearly grab the money and not making big commitments, what I think it is fair, because in these works we have had Moon Knight and now Karnak, to whom Ellis gives some depth putting him in a urban enviroment with some hints of 70's Kung Fu films. Ellis weaves an intriguing story involving Shield and a human boy exposed to Terringen and who can create some mutation in other human. The spice is the philosofical questions addressed to Karnak, who is cleverly defied throughout the story. Marvel keeps trying to make the Inhumans happen, and I keep not caring. Warren Ellis comes as close as anyone has in making one of them interesting, but this Karnak adventure is one of his lesser excursions in psychobabble and ultraviolence. ("It has been a . . . philosophically difficult case.") There are some nice scenes and moments, but Karnak is just too cold a character to really engage with in the long run. Which is all to say, this was... Not Good. It takes decompressed storytelling to a whole new level of absurdity. It's aggressively up its own ass with faux intellectualism and pseudo-philosophy that I've read a hundred times in every Ellis comic I've ever read. There's nothing new or interesting here. It's just the same Ellis book as always with different characters.
Anyway, this is a very important and relevant link that everyone should read before buying more works by Ellis https://www.somanyofus.com/ ( )
