This ABC book is not consistent with the vowel sounds. Most examples are short vowels but one letter (E) uses a long vowel sound as an example. (

It isone of the greatest children's book artists of all time. There is no story with this, it's just the letters and associated words that start with that letter. I really like that each letter is on its own page and that there's an animal corresponding to each letter. You can sound out the letter, talking about the animals, and going over colors. Overall it is wonderful and it has a distinctive illustrations.

Simply teaches alphabet letters and words that start with each letter. Recommend for ages 3-5
