This book uses the alphabet to teach children to slow down when saying their letters. L,M,N,O, and P decide to leave the alphabet because they think they are not as important as the other letter because children say their letters way too fast. They later realize that they are just as important as the other letters and decide to come back.
I really like the illustrations in this book and the lesson it taught. It had interaction flaps that captivates the listener.
I would use this book when teaching the alphabet and as a review when the children start to speed up that part of the alphabet.
