The story is about three little pigs that move out of their home with their parents and plan to build their own houses to live on their own. Each of the pigs builds a house out of different materials, straw, sticks, and bricks. Once each of the pigs has built their house they run into trouble with a wolf. The wolf comes, and destroys the homes of the first two piggy’s homes but once he comes to the brick home with all three pigs in it the wolf is stuck in a rut and is unable to get to the pigs. Eventually the wolf finds its way into the chimney of the brick house and he ends up landing in the hot pot and that is the end of the wolf. I like this story for many reasons. One thing that I really appreciate about this book is the fact that the wolf in this telling of “The Three Little Pigs” catches none of the pigs. Occasionally the wolf will catch two of the three little pigs, but in this telling all three of the little pigs are one hundred percent safe at the end of the tale. Another aspect of this book that I like is the repetition that is present throughout the text. When the wolf comes to the pigs homes and he demands to be let in the pigs all respond with the statement, “Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin.” The last thing that I loved about this book was the drawings. The wolf is portrayed as much larger than any of the other characters in the book. In fact, the wolf is larger than most of the buildings in the story. This made the wolf seem very scary and it was clear that the wolf was the antagonist in this story. ( ) Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
