Do you enjoy clean, wholesome fiction? Are you looking for an entertaining story? I recommend that you read The Blessing because you will not be disappointed! The Blessing is book 2 of Amish Cooking Class and Wanda E. Brunstetter has once again weaved a story that both inspires and entertains. She has the ability to create characters and situations that mirror real life and her references to God and faith are never pushy or overpowering. I enjoyed catching up with some of the characters from the first class featured in The Seekers and I look forward to learning how their stories, and those of the current class, continue in book three, The Celebration. I especially want to see if Heidi and her husband Levi will ever experience the joy of caring for children. The recipes at the end and the Bible Scriptures scattered throughout are just added bonuses that make this book even more appealing. I received a complimentary copy of The Blessing from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. Another Chance to Visit With Old Friends The Blessing, by Wanda Brunstetter, is Book 2 in her Amish Cooking Class series, and continues the story of Heidi and Lyle Troyer. Heidi and Lyle once again open their Ohio home up to those seeking to learn about Amish cooking. This time a teenager helping her divorced dad cook for the family, a caterer needing new recipes, a food critic, a bachelor looking to impress his hunting buddies, a wife given the class as an unwanted gift, and a mailman lured in by the aroma of good cooking gather around Heidi’s table. More than good food is exchanged, though, as friendships form and hearts are healed. The story picks up where the last book left off in terms of Heidi’s yearning to become a parent, and the events that follow. Many people are drawn to Ms. Brunstetter’s wholesome style of writing, liberally sprinkled with hope and faith, throughout. Her characters are ordinary people facing the same issues that many of us face. Perhaps the take-away for those reading is a new perspective on how to approach the trials and tribulations present in all of our lives, as well as a gentle reminder of how faith and love can transform our lives. I was provided a free copy of this book from the publisher, and was under no obligation to provide a complimentary review. The Blessing is a story in the Amish Cooking Class Series. I enjoyed reading this story very much. From the moment I opened it I couldn't close it. I just wanted to keeping reading more to find what would happen next. Each story had it's own unique pull and I just couldn't wait to know what was going on. Is a Amish lady Heidi who teaches Amish recipes. In the class 6 individuals gather together not knowing each other. And has the story unfolds each character has a lesson to learn. In this story is Forgiveness, but I also found it teaching Patience. Two things that are hard to some of us. As well, as Heidi the Amish teacher has something to work on. I enjoyed each character's stories. I kept wanted to know more, especially Todd and Lisa; a food critic and a catering girl. I was not disappointed in this story, but then Mrs Wanda never disappoints in her stories. I enjoyed reading it. Is a story that teaches and I found this one fun and enjoyable. You won't want to miss it Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
