Apunta't a LibraryThing per saber si aquest llibre et pot agradar. No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. I liked this book for many reasons. First, I liked this book because the language was patterned. This allows the students to get involved when the teacher reads a book. For example, it started out as the tree saying, share, big bear, share, which then led to big bear doing something else because it misunderstood what the tree was saying. Then, once the bear did something, the tree would say it again and the bear would do something else. The students would be able to realize this happen as it was being read to them. Second, I like this book because characters were well-developed. Throughout the whole book, I could visualize what was happening with the bear and the tree as they spoke. This helped me understand the story more as I read it. The characters would demonstrate what they were doing in the illustrations as it was also written down in text. The big idea of this book is to show was sharing looks like and that it is good to share even if it takes awhile for someone to understand the concept. ( ) Big Bear sits down to enjoy his pail of blueberries, only to be reminded by the old oak tree to share with his woodland friends. Each time the arboreal elder reminds him to share however, Big Bear misunderstands his instructions, and does something else. Will the befuddled but essentially goodhearted bear ever get it right...? The third picture book from author Maureen Wright and illustrator Will Hillenbrand about the humorous misadventures of Big Bear - the first two were Sleep, Big Bear, Sleep! and Sneeze, Big Bear, Sneeze! - this rhyming storybook highlights its message about sharing one's blessings while also delivering an amusing tale of continual miscommunication. Young readers and listeners will enjoy hearing about Bear's continual mistakes, especially if the storyteller reads this one with different voices for the two main characters. The artwork by Hillenbrand, created with pencil and digital media, is colorful and sweet, matching the tone of the tale quite well. Share, Big Bear, Share is one I would recommend to those who have enjoyed this ursine hero's previous picture-books, as well as to those looking for children's stories about sharing and/or humorous misunderstandings.
