A fun twist on the classic tale. Jack returns home with his magic beans, and then he and his mom (and soon their whole village) is eating beans morning, noon, and night. Jack goes up the beanstalk to the giant's castle, where the giant is also eating beans round the clock and is just as grumpy about it. Mrs. Giant reasonably suggests, "If you don't like beans, plant something else." So Jack and the Giant go down and plant a garden: carrots, corn, potatoes, tomatoes, asparagus. (Best of all were the potatoes, which could be made into French fries.)

Unclear why the villagers didn't consider farming in the first place, but perhaps the magic, giant-supplied seeds grew much better in the soil. ( )

Similar to the classic tale, Jack trades his cow for some bean seeds. His mother upset with his decision throws the beans out the window. A huge beanstalk appears, providing free food which of course are beans. Tired of eating everything beans Jack climbs up the beanstalk to see what is on top. When he makes it to the top, he comes across a castle where a Giant and his wife live. The wife is making the giant a bean salad, but little does she understand that the giant is tired of eating beans. Jack and the Giant return to jacks home to find french fries, where they decide to plant a veggie garden. Everyone–humans and giants alike–is thrilled with the new diet, which of course includes extra-large fries. ( )
