This book had a lot of backstory, but still enjoyable. I'll definitely be reading volume 3 when it comes out. ( )

As the police officer starts sniffing around the main villain, it suddenly struck me that he is Officer Pup and this is a very weird retelling of George Herriman's Krazy Kat comic strip. But with a higher body count and fewer laughs. As in Krazy Kat, even the presence of law enforcement can't keep the hunter from stalking his next prey.

Dark and depressing and still descending deeper into darkness. ( )
